Mindset of Armenian Startups
Applications for such benefits can be submitted by IT companies, whose staff does not exceed 30 people

Twenty Armenian start-up companies have been granted today  tax benefits by the government, the ministry of transport, communications and information technologies reported.

It said it had reviewed 20 applications for benefits to consider the compliance of the process of registration of the companies with the laws, as well as the types of their activity and the number of employees. As a result, all 20 applications were approved.

The benefits exempt these companies from income tax payments, and also reduce the payroll tax to 10%, down from the national 26%. Applications for such benefits can be submitted by IT companies, whose staff does not exceed 30 people. The deadline for submitting such applications is December 1. By now, 295 companies have benefited from the benefits, including 136 in 2017.
