TUMO Center for Creative Technologies is looking for an energetic, organized and detail-oriented Fundraising Associate. The Fundraising Associate is responsible for efficiently updating donor and prospect records, accurately processing donations, timely acknowledgments and generating reports. The Fundraising Associate will  also assist with donor tours of TUMO facilities and conduct prospect research to ensure that TUMO is engaging high-value prospective donors.
 
Responsibilities 
Gift Processing
 
Work with the Fundraising and Finance teams to maintain an accurate tracking system for donations. The Fundraising Associate will own gift processing across the organization, including:
  • Create and update contacts in the database for new donors and donations
  • Manage online giving transactions through fundraising CRM
  • Generate, send and track invoices for pledged gifts
  • Process gifts received by check, wire, stock or online donation
  • Track gift receipts as well as accurately code gifts in the database
  • Generate and send acknowledgment letters and tax receipt language and ensure strong communication and proper gift reconciliation with the TUMO Finance, TUMO Foundation and Fundraising teams
  • Generate regular gift and donor reports to communicate across TUMO
  • Find efficiencies and automation across the gift processing sequence and prioritize strong communication with TUMO teams and departments
 
 
Prospect Research
 
Research, prepare, and provide profiles and reports, both in-depth and otherwise, on potential and identified annual and campaign major gift prospects, including individuals, family foundations, and corporations
  • Proactively identify new and high-level annual and campaign donor leads and prospects
  • Prepare prospect reports for use by the Fundraising team members and serve as prospect tracking and record-keeping processes lead
  • Maintain, develop and analyze prospective and upgraded donor data and help determine appropriate solicitation ranges
  • Provide research support for major gifts, work with high-level volunteers such as campaign chair and board chair
  • Assist with donor tours at TUMO to identify potential donors, to get contact details and provide necessary information to the Fundraising team for further donor cultivation
 
 
Requirements
  • Previous work experience in relevant field
  • Ability to work with teams located in different time zones 
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Fluent in Armenian, English
