TUMO is looking for an experienced manager to take on the role of Head of Operations for all TUMO locations in Armenia and Artsakh. The Head of Operations will lead the team of managers in charge of local centers and TUMO boxes, including the current center in Yerevan, Gyumri, Stepanakert and Dilijan, as well as over 10 new centers and 100 boxes to open over the next several years. The right candidate will care deeply about operations and development of TUMO centers in Armenia, including day to day effective and efficient delivery of safe and high quality educational services to teenagers in accordance with Policies and Procedures
Strategic Leadership
-
Contribute to the development of TUMO’s goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the organization
-
Work as a key member of the senior management team contributing to wider corporate strategy, policy and decision making

Provide strategic leadership and direction to TUMO centers in various locations across Armenia:
-
communicate the vision, mission, values, objectives and plans to achieve commitment and ownership
-
provide continuous guidance on achieving actionable operational plans and their proper execution
-
develop strategic plans in line with TUMO’s educational goals and work closely with center managers to implement the short-, mid- and long-term targets

Maintain the expansion of TUMO Centers across Armenia

Represent the organization externally, as necessary
Responsibilities
-
Ensure the translation of strategy and corporate objectives into robust operational delivery
-
Ensure sustainable delivery of the Centers’ operational services to agreed performance, quality, safety, budgetary and activity targets and commitments according to TUMO policies and procedures
-
Ensure appropriate systems, processes and performance management arrangements are in place to deliver consistent high quality levels of service provision and actively report and monitor achievement

Ensure each Center as a single entity has annual key performance indicators and is regularly monitored and kept accountable against Center’s targets

Report to the CEO about the operational efficiency of each Center and the Centers’ network as a whole

Coordinate administrative and educational activities of Center Managers

Coordinate the annual operations plan and budget

Lead the performance management process that measures and evaluates progress against goals for the organization

Provide for all staff a strong day-to-day leadership presence, contribute to staff engagement and motivation in all the Centers

Ensure individual teams and team members have an annual appraisal, agreed objectives and personal development plans aligned to the TUMO’s priorities and development plans

Recruit and develop high performing senior leadership teams in the Centers and ensure all staff have the necessary education and training to carry out their roles effectively

Serve as a role model by leadership behaviors and values at all times
Requirements
-
Minimum Bachelor degree with at least 7 years of experience and a track record in senior program management
-
Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach a senior-level staff to manage and develop high-performance teams and develop and implement program strategies

Deep experience in program budgeting and reporting
-
Track record of effectively leading a direct service organization with a complex array of programs with the ability to leverage strengths across program areas; excellent project management skills
-
Analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate to staff key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals
-
Experience of having led organizational transformation projects and program development will be a plus
-
Past experience managing human resources functions including personnel, compensation, and recruiting
-
Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management
-
Passion, humility, integrity, positive attitude, hard working, mission-driven, and self-directed
-
Fluent in Armenian, English
