Ara Yeramian
Founder of the Biomedical Engineering Association of Armenia
Ara Yeramian was born in Aleppo, Syria. In 2006, he moved to Germany to continue his studies. (M.Sc., Ph.D. biomedical engineering: medical software engineering manager, client manager, project developer). Ara moved to Armenia in late 2020 from Germany during the 44-day Artsakh war. In 2020 , he volunteered full time at an Armenian biomedical hardware startup through Armenian Volunteer Corps.
 
In 2021, he established the BEAA, the Biomedical Engineering Association of Armenia. In 2021, he established a branch of a German medical software company in Yerevan. He is an active volunteer with Repat Armenia, AVC/BR. Every 2 weeks, he takes his Nikon camera and goes to a mountain or a village and (re)explore the country from a new perspective. A country he sees himself reflected in, a place where he found a sense of purpose, a place he calls Home.
