AGBU Armenian Virtual College

AVC provides courses in Armenian language studies, and allows participating students to choose from seven languages of instruction: Western and Eastern Armenian, English, French, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish. Courses are also offered in Armenian culture and history, with focuses on architecture, geography, fine arts, music, and a chess program developed in collaboration with the Armenian Chess Federation.

Launched in 2009, AVC classes are open to anyone who is interested in Armenian studies, delivering a virtual classroom to students who do not have access to traditional, face-to-face Armenian educational programs, while supplementing the curriculum of those who do. Lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs – regardless of their age, country of residence or knowledge level – to ensure that all can benefit from this unique resource. Tumanyan.Online

Online classes with professional teachers who are native speakers of Armenian. The program is specially developed for teaching Armenian language as a foreign using an interactive platform, where our students do their homework, as well as can practice on their own after classes with a teacher.
At the moment we have programs for Russian and English-speaking students.

Individual lessons last 60 minutes according to the student's chosen schedule. Group classes last 90 minutes, twice a week as scheduled. In a group, we have 3 to 5 students with the same level of knowledge.

AYOlingo - the Easiest Way to Learn Eastern Armenian

The app is very easy to navigate. Once you've signed in using an email, or either your Google account or Facebook, it takes you to 'Modules' page. Here, you can maneuver through each Module starting with 'Basics.' Each Module contains at least two lessons. They test your knowledge through sentence completion, word matching and fill in the blanks. Once you start going through the modules and lessons, AYOLingo will track your progress, see what words you're having trouble with and tailor the rest of the exercise to those challenging words. The modules and lessons get harder and harder; starting with easy words in the beginning then to conversations at the end. Some lessons have pictures as well as the translations for those like me that need a little bit more help. This gives the user a multi-sensory approach to learning with audio and visual.
