How to Get Internet?
There are three Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in Armenia. They are UCom, Rostelecom, and Team Telecom Armenia. A fourth option to get Internet service is to purchase a mobile modem from Viva-MTS.
Internet in Armenia is fast and cheap. One thing to consider before choosing a package is how much Internet you will use. Keep in mind that there is also WiFi almost everywhere in Yerevan and that this is expanding into the regions, as well. If you are always-on, then it makes sense to get your own Internet package for your home but if you’re just checking emails once a day then you can do that during your morning coffee or during lunch at any cafe or restaurant - or sitting at Republic Square or waiting for the metro, both of which have free WiFi.
For any of the ISPs, you can check out their offerings on their websites first and then visit one of their stores to set up an account and get a modem installed.
In order to purchase a Viva-MTS mobile modem, you have to visit a store and have an account with them.
