    Vartan Marashlyan

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
    Vartan Marashlyan was born in Armenia but lived in Moscow for over 25 years.
    He has since moved back to Armenia in 2010 and lives in Yerevan with his wife and two children.

    Vartan Marashlyan has more than 20 years experience working both in public and private sectors. Before the establishment of RepatArmenia Foundation Mr. Marashlyan was the Deputy Minister of Diaspora and responsible for developing programs with Armenian communities in CIS countries, organizing of pan-Armenian professional forums, creating programs to train young leaders and journalists of the Diaspora. Vartan also worked as Economic Advisor to the British Department for International Development and assistant to the Prime Minister of Armenia. His private sector experience includes real estate development and banking working with Severstal Group, Promsvyazbank, Gasprombank and Norman Asset Management.

    Vartan continues to be committed to the Armenian national cause. He was an active member of Moscow Armenian community, Board member of Moscow Armenian Young Professionals Organization (SIVAM) and Advisory board member of the Armenian Students Association of Moscow State University.

    Vartan graduated from the Financial Academy under the Government of Russian Federation with a degree in International Economics in 1997. In 2000, he received his PhD in Economics from Moscow State University.

  • Tatev Babayan

    Tatev Babayan

    Promotions Manager

    Tatev is an Armenian/American who has been living between Boston and Yerevan for most of her life. After graduating with Applied Legal Studies and International Relations degrees in 2014 from Suffolk University in Boston, MA she made a decision to move to Yerevan.

    Since she moved to Armenia, she was the country director for RSM International, managing an online school located in the heart of Yerevan. She is also a member of Global Shapers Hub Yerevan, where they work on developing and implementing different community projects. Currently Tatev has joined Repat Armenia team as Promotions Manager and hopes to share her experience and encourage repatriation in Armenia.

  • Mariana Julian

    Mariana Julian

    Integration Manager
    Mariana Julian was born and raised in Damascus, Syria. She is graduated from Damascus University, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Department of French Language and Literature. She studied Italian language and culture at Università per Stranieri in Siena, Italy.

    She worked in the Cultural Attaché of the Italian Embassy and Embassy of Armenia in Damascus.

    Mariana moved to Armenia in December 2013. She worked at “National Instruments” as international sales coordinator and currently she is Repat Armenia's Integration Manager and happy to help returning Armenians find their place in local society.

  • Rima Yeghiazarian

    Rima Yeghiazarian

    Content Manager

    Rima Yeghiazarian was born and raised in Yerevan, Armenia. She graduated from Yerevan State University with a Masters degree in Islam and Arabic Studies. Rima is a scout leader, also is the Secretary of Yerevan Committee Council in Homenetmen Armenia.

     

    She has volunteered with Repat Armenia since February 2016 as an assistant in Siramark project, also as a translator and a content writer. Currently she has joined Repat Armenia team as Content Manager and is happy to keep you in touch with the recent developments taking place in Armenia.

  • Tamar Najarian

    Tamar Najarian

    Integration Manager

    Tamar Najarian was born and raised in the city of Toronto in Canada.

    Her parents from Lebanon, she grew up in a Lebanese-Armenian home culture. Attending the ARS Armenian School until secondary graduation, she moved on to study psychology at Ryerson and obtain her Bachelor’s of Education from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.

    Tamar moved to Armenia on June 25, 2013, and has since worked freelance and for a USAID project. Currently she is Integration Manager at RepatArmenia and very happy to help returning Armenians find their place in local society.

  • Dzovag Soghomonian

    Dzovag Soghomonian

    Siramark Project Coordinator

    Dzovag Soghomonian was born in Kessab but raised in Damascus, Syria.

    She received her Technical Diploma in Business Administration and has been studying Small Project Management in Damascus University. During her studies, she trained in Qatar National Bank and received her experience in Human Resource Management. She worked in Central Bank Of Syria as HR officer and trained with Shell Corporation as Small Project Management Coordinator.

    In 2014, she moved to Yerevan, Armenia, to continue studying; previously the war in Syria had caused her from stop attending university. She has volunteered with Repat Armenia since March 2015 as administrative assistant and currently works as the Siramark project coordinator, developing and overseeing the content about Syrian-Armenian businesses in Armenia..

    Annie Akkam was born and raised in Sharjah, UAE, until she moved to Yerevan in the summer of 2008. She studied art during her high school years, and also participated in Model UNESCO and won best delegate in 2011. She is currently studying English and Journalism at YSLU, and is a member of the university's paper. Currently, she is a volunteer as a content writer at both Repat Armenia and Siramark Business Directory.

    Sona Khanjyan was born and raised in Yerevan, Armenia. Currently she studies at Russian-Armenian University at the faculty of Advertising and PR. She did her internship programs in the spheres of public relations and social media marketing.
    Sona has volunteered with Repat Armenia since September 2016 as an English-Russian translator.

    Nanar Avedissian was born and raised in Aleppo, Syria. Having fled the war, she moved to Yerevan, Armenia in 2014 with her family. Currently, she is studying English and Communications and the American University of Armenia, as well as volunteering as a leader for the YMCA Syrian-Armenian group. She enjoys filling up her time with volunteer work and has also managed quite a bit of work for The Bridge during the “5-day war” we recently saw break out. She is a first year student but with grand goals.
