    Vartan Marashlyan

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
    Vartan Marashlyan was born in Armenia but lived in Moscow for over 25 years.
    He has since moved back to Armenia in 2010 and lives in Yerevan with his wife and two children.

    Vartan Marashlyan has more than 20 years experience working both in public and private sectors. Before the establishment of RepatArmenia Foundation Mr. Marashlyan was the Deputy Minister of Diaspora and responsible for developing programs with Armenian communities in CIS countries, organizing of pan-Armenian professional forums, creating programs to train young leaders and journalists of the Diaspora. Vartan also worked as Economic Advisor to the British Department for International Development and assistant to the Prime Minister of Armenia. His private sector experience includes real estate development and banking working with Severstal Group, Promsvyazbank, Gasprombank and Norman Asset Management.

    Vartan continues to be committed to the Armenian national cause. He was an active member of Moscow Armenian community, Board member of Moscow Armenian Young Professionals Organization (SIVAM) and Advisory board member of the Armenian Students Association of Moscow State University.

    Vartan graduated from the Financial Academy under the Government of Russian Federation with a degree in International Economics in 1997. In 2000, he received his PhD in Economics from Moscow State University.

    Mariana moved to Armenia in February of 2014 from Damascus, Syria. 


    At Repat Armenia she is up to

    -Assisting repatriates and potential repatriates in finding and securing employment in Armenia.
    -Networking and cooperating with local companies and organizations to assist repatriates in their integration in Armenia (HR companies, health insurance, lawyers, social workers…)
    -Developing specific integration programs in partnership with both local and international organizations.
    -Organizing integration events such Meet & Greet.
    -Attending the workshops and forums on integrations and repatriation projects in Armenia.
    -Preparing monthly statistics on repats visits and requests.
    -Posting the job vacancies on the website

    Rima Yeghiazarian

    Program Manager

    Rima was born and raised in Yerevan, Armenia.

    At Repat Armenia Rima is up to

    -Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the Repat Armenia Foundation.
    -Leading Repat Armenia Start Up Mentorship program
    -Organizing “Imagine Armenia” forums abroad multiple times a year to increase engagement with Armenia
    -Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.
    -Creating and managing long-term goals.
    -Monitoring multiple projects through the entire program cycle
    -Managing the day-to-day detailed aspects of multiple projects
    -Set timelines for goal posts/due dates
    -Coordinating and utilizing resources for multiple projects in the program
    -Managing and submiting program documentation
    -Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
    -Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
    -Networking and maintaining relations and communication with both individuals and companies/organizations/foundations in Armenia and abroad
    -Developing annual promotions strategy, including programs and etc

  • Tamar Najarian

    Tamar Najarian

    Community Manager

    Tamar Najarian was born and raised in the city of Toronto in Canada.

    Her parents from Lebanon, she grew up in a Lebanese-Armenian home culture. Attending the ARS Armenian School until secondary graduation, she moved on to study psychology at Ryerson and obtain her Bachelor’s of Education from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.

    Tamar moved to Armenia on June 25, 2013, and has since worked freelance and for a USAID project. Currently she is Integration Manager at RepatArmenia and very happy to help returning Armenians find their place in local society.

    Nanar Avedissian was born and raised in Aleppo, Syria. Having fled the war, she moved to Yerevan, Armenia in 2014 with her family. Currently, she is studying English and Communications and the American University of Armenia, as well as volunteering as a leader for the YMCA Syrian-Armenian group. She enjoys filling up her time with volunteer work and has also managed quite a bit of work for The Bridge during the “5-day war” we recently saw break out. She is a first year student but with grand goals.
