As a Project Manager at BostonGene, you will lead projects specifically tailored to the cancer field. This role demands a deep understanding of biological sciences combined with expertise to manage project scopes, resources, schedules, and finances effectively. You will play a critical role in bridging the gap between technical teams and biological research objectives, ensuring that our projects meet both scientific and technical standards.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross-functional project teams in the planning, executing, and delivering scientific projects in the cancer field.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation, and delivering on time and within budget.
  • Evaluate and forecast project costs using your accounting skills to ensure financial viability and cost-effectiveness of solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including providing updates and adjustments to project scopes, schedules, and costs as needed.
  • Address and resolve any technical or scientific issues, ensuring compliance standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends to enhance project outcomes and deliver innovative solutions.
 
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s / Master’s / PhD in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Proficient in accounting principles relevant to project cost management.
  • Proven experience in project management within IT, life sciences, or a related industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
 
Preferred Skills:
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
