TUMO is looking for an empathetic and technical Software Engineering Manager. The right candidate will care deeply about the team, TUMO’s mission, and making an outsized impact.
Where you fit in
Your work will directly impact the mission of TUMO: to create life-changing learning experiences on a large scale. In fact, you will get to meet a sample of your most important users everyday when the Yerevan students enter the center at 3:30 PM. As a key leader in the Engineering department, you will work directly with the VP of Engineering and top executives to deliver a world-class team and products.
Our team
Our team is energetic, open and kind. We are a well integrated and cross functional group of engineers, product management, support, design, QA and management. We are all quite invested in TUMO’s mission. In this role, you would manage a team of software engineers building our learner-facing products, such as our learning management system and portfolio application.

Requirements
What we’re looking for

You have a track record of leading productive engineering teams

You understand what makes teams successful and what role a manager can play in that process

You are clear and persuasive in writing and in person

You lead by example, by setting the right context, and by helping teammates do their best work

You know when to let a team work through problems and when to jump in to help

You’re technical enough to ask engineers good questions about architecture and product decisions

You have at least a couple of years of engineering management experience
-
Fluency in Armenian is a big plus and proficiency in English is required
