Banks in Armenia
There are multiple banks currently active in Armenia, with some local institutions and others operating as international branches. While a few mergers have newly occurred in the past few years, it does not appear as if other acquisitions are in store for now.
Armenian Development bank has merged with Araratbank; Areximbank-Gazprombank was acquired by Ardshinbank; Cascade Bank merged with Ameriabank, BTA Bbank merged with ArmEconomBank; and ProCredit Bank was acquired just over a year ago by InecoBank.

There are also multiple development banks in Armenia, with the Asian Development Bank having its representative branch here since 2005, the Interstate Bank from 1994, the PanArmenian Bank operating since 2008, and the Rosselkhozbank, a special state agricultural bank from Russia, having opened its doors in 2012. While the former two banks are focused on regional development, the PanArmenian is centered on enterprise and has been transformed into an investment fund.
