How to Get Cell Phone Service?
There are three cell phone service providers in Armenia: UCom, Viva-MTS and Team Telecom Armenia. All three have generally good coverage in Yerevan and in the regions but if you’re going to be outside of urban centers frequently, it’s best to check with others about the most practical option.
You will have two options: a monthly plan or pay-as-you-go. Cell phone service in Armenia is generally very cheap ($5-15/mo.) but depends on your usage. Avoid making calls or using data while roaming lest you be charged exorbitant prices.
